Popular View of Camping

If you're into camping, you don't think about this much. How do you define camping? I'm sure there is a ton of variation. Today I was thinking about this. For example, some people think of camping as packing up a car and going to a camp ground. Others view camping as an activity where they are not near anyone else for miles and miles. Little kids might think of camping as going in the back yard with a tent. Is there any reason these can't all be camping? I think they are all cool. The bottom line is that they get you outside.
